My best shadow image is the one of my moms eye. It was taken in my kitchen before school at around 7:30 am. The light comes in very strong in the morning and allows for impressive shadows to be created. I held a draining spoon up to the widow where the sun was coming in and asked my mom to stand in front of it and it created a beautiful shadow in an interesting subject mater. I used contrast between the light and the shadow and rule of thirds by having the eye ever so slightly to the left. My best reflection image is the one in the bottom left of the leaves in the mirror. At first glance it appears as a window of some sort yet upon closer examination you can see that it is a picture of a mirror that is on the ground, reflecting the trees up above. I had to play around with the camera a lot when taking this image. I wanted the background to be a little blurred out for contrast but still detailed enough to show that it was dead leaves. It's interesting that the image in the mirror shows a blue sky and lively leaves in their prime, but the image on the ground is so dark and gloomy with leaves that have passed and are now falling apart. I feel that I have taken two moments and made them one. My weakest image is the one in black in white. There is an interesting shadow but it is a bit blurry and it does not have an interesting subject matter. For this assignment I had a lot of idea's that I simply could not fulfill do to a lack of people. Sometimes I needed a person to be in a reflection or even two or someone to hold something up but they were not available.

Final Reflection
My favorite assignment this semester was either the color assignment or the portrait assignment. I loved how open ended the color assignment and how it really let me be creative. For an assignment like that my brain starts working in a different way and I look at everything and see how I could arrange it for an interesting color scheme or if there was already a naturally interesting color scheme. I also loved the portrait assignment because I love taking portraits, I think they're one of the most important parts of photography. I did not like the light and architecture assignment. I thought that it was very limiting because it had to be a harsh shadow and it had to be with architecture. This semester I grew by trying new things as a photographer, but more than anything I grew in learning how to use my camera and learning what everything does in mean. I try to shoot more in manual now and I can adjust accordingly when I need to. Theres nothing that I wanted to cover that we didn't I just wish that this class was all year long cause I really love it. I will definitely take photo two next year.
